My self evaluation quarter 2
Looking back on my first day of Spanish I how do I feel you've grown not only in Spanish but work ethic, view of the world, facing difficult projects, classes, assignments? I think I've grown in a year, everyone has. In Spanish I can do more than I imagined I could in a year. My view of the world, i would like to believe, is always changing. I would like to think that I can keep an open mind and constantly see things from other's points of view. The way I face projects has changed, I am more content to let others give their opinions and advice. I think I have grown greatly.
What have I learned about how I learn best? Surprisingly, I have learned that listening to music helps me do homework and I learn better when I see something laid out of me, like an example. I have learned that flash cards really help me memorize vocabulary better. I have learned that writing things down helps me remember them and listening helps as well. I have learned a lot about the ways I learn during my Spanish classes.
Do I think I will go farther with my Spanish classes or take any other foreign language classes? As of this moment, no. I do not plan on taking another Spanish or foreign language class during my high school career. There is always a chance that in the future I may take Spanish back up again.
Do I view other languages and cultures differently from when I first started? I have learned more since I began Spanish I, so how could I not have a different view? I have learned so much about different cultures and ways of life in my Spanish classes and my views of the world have changed accordingly. I thoroughly enjoy learning about different cultures.
What did I like? I enjoy a lot of things about Spanish II. I liked the videos and songs for learning vocabulary. I liked the projects and group work in class. I enjoyed doing the crazy hand motions for vocabulary memorization. What didn't I like? Well, Test and quizzes. I did not like the a worksheet and b worksheet that forced us to find partners with the opposite letters. What can you improve? Not much, I really enjoyed the class.
